Other common invalid promotion scenarios

Common scenarios where promotions are considered invalid include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • The ambassador and the buyer are not validly associated. This includes cases where the ambassador and the buyer are the same person, or the buyer is a customer who is ineligible to be associated.

  • Order type (Commission is not available for non-reward products, non-subscription purchases, or pay-as-you-go products).

  • Peer Type (Ambassador-Customer, Referred Customer)

The Alibaba Cloud risk control system determines that multiple accounts belong to the same person if they share information during registration, logon, or use. This information includes, but is not limited to, certificates, phone numbers, and mailboxes.

  • The promotion is subject to channel or activity exceptions. This includes activities or products that are explicitly excluded from the Cloud Ambassador program, or orders that are fully refunded within 30 days.

  • The ambassador is considered an ineligible user. This includes Cloud Ambassadors who are found to be Alibaba Cloud employees, contractors, or distribution partners, or who establish a relationship with an existing customer.

If violations occur, including but not limited to promotion link fraud, collusion with buyers, or fraud involving refunds or downgrades after receiving rebates, the promotional relationship for all of the Cloud Ambassador's associated accounts may be terminated. In addition, earnings may be delayed, offset, or canceled, and the promotion account may be deactivated.
