Marketing action: Email sending component

The email sending component is used to send emails.

To ensure that automated marketing tasks run smoothly, use an approved email template. The sender, title, and content of the email are populated from the template and cannot be modified. For more information, see Create Email Template.

Note
  • For tasks that are triggered by behavioral events, the email sending component is supported for all event types. The user ID that is reported for the event must include an email address.

  • For tasks that target a specific audience, the selected audience or audience source data set must include email addresses. Otherwise, the message No available ID is displayed when you configure the component.

  • A task that is triggered by a behavioral event remains in the Pending state for 10 minutes the first time it runs after a new email sending node is added. This also applies to the first run of a newly created task. This is because the email sending component requires 10 minutes to initialize and create tags to collect response statistics. We recommend that you start the task 10 minutes early.

Procedure:

  1. Click the email sending component. The configuration panel appears on the right.

  2. The configuration process is similar to that of a standard email task. For more information, see Create Email Task.

  3. Click OK to complete the configuration.
