Push management

Updated at:

Configure fatigue control to limit how often marketing push notifications are sent to individual users or devices.

Push fatigue control sets the maximum number of push notifications that a single user or device can receive within a specific time period. After this limit is reached, no more pushes are sent to that user or device until the next time period begins.

Note

Unsent messages from the previous time period are not carried over to the next period if they have expired.

Procedure

Log on to the mPaaS console, select your target application, and then configure push fatigue control as follows:

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Intelligent Delivery > Resource Management > Push Management.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Edit to enter edit mode.

  3. Configure push fatigue control.

    1. From the Time Unit (Single User) drop-down list, select a time unit, such as hour, day, or week.

    2. From the Total Pushes (Single User) drop-down list, select the maximum number of pushes for the time unit. Select an integer from 1 to 10.

  4. To save the configuration, click the Save button.
