You can create an AccessKey pair for your Alibaba Cloud account or a Resource Access Management (RAM) user. The AccessKey pair is used to authenticate your identity when you call Alibaba Cloud APIs.
An AccessKey pair consists of an AccessKey ID and an AccessKey Secret.
AccessKey ID: Identifies the user.
AccessKey Secret: Authenticates the user. The AccessKey Secret must be kept confidential.
Important
If an AccessKey pair for your Alibaba Cloud account is leaked, all resources in your account are at risk. To keep your account secure, we recommend that you create AccessKey pairs for RAM users instead of for your Alibaba Cloud account.
