To upgrade a product in a Tmall Genie ecosystem project, you can perform an over-the-air (OTA) update and customize the device upgrade guide page in the Tmall Genie app. This feature is available only for products in Tmall Genie ecosystem projects.
Prerequisites
You have created a product for a Tmall Genie ecosystem project in the console. For more information, see Create a product.Procedure
- Log on to the IoT Platform console.
- Go to the Human-Computer Interaction page of the product.
- In the navigation pane on the left, click Upgrade Guide.
- Click Upload Image to upload the image that will be displayed on the app interface during the OTA update.
The upgrade guide image must meet specific requirements. For more information, see the Upgrade guide image guidelines section in this topic.
- Configure the upgrade guide text and click Save.
Upgrade guide image guidelines
The guidelines for the device upgrade guide image are divided into two types based on the image's background color.
- White or transparent background
- Image dimensions: 750 px × 650 px (2x image)
- The image must be centered with 100 px left and right margins and 80 px top and bottom margins.
- The image must not contain unnecessary text.

- Non-white or non-transparent background
- Image dimensions: 750 px × 650 px (2x image)
