HTTPDNS provides secure, accurate DNS resolution over HTTP/HTTPS, bypassing ISP local DNS to prevent domain hijacking and improve resolution accuracy.

Secure and accurate resolution results

  • Resolves domain names over HTTP/HTTPS, bypassing ISP local DNS servers to prevent domain hijacking.

  • Obtains client egress gateway IP addresses to accurately determine client regions and ISPs for precise resolution.

  • Leverages global deployment to optimize resolution for apps with overseas users and reduce request latency.

  • Reduces app unavailability caused by ISP network issues and improves resolution success rates in poor wireless environments.

Network-wide domain name resolution

  • Resolves all Internet domain names, including those registered with Alibaba Cloud (Wanwang), third-party domains, and overseas domains (subject to regional compliance). A free online trial is available.

  • Supports domain resolution for international providers such as Akamai, enabling precise scheduling for CDN and other scenarios. Mobile SDKs and APIs are available for various use cases.

  • Provides simple APIs for domain resolution. Mobile apps can call these APIs directly, and server-side calls are also supported.
