The first step to using the IoT Platform is to create a project. Data is isolated between projects. You can create different projects for different customers or grant permissions for a project to another Alibaba Cloud account. This makes it easier for multiple parties to collaborate or for an operations hub to deliver projects independently.
Procedure
- Log on to the IoT Platform console.
- Click Create Project.
- Set a Project Name, and set Project Type to Tmall Genie Ecosystem Project.
The following figure shows a sample configuration. For Project Name, use your customer's name. This makes the project easier to identify for forwarding, authorization, and statistics.
- Select the I agree to let Tmall Genie (Alibaba Cloud account 'tmallgenie_iot') create and own all product data under this project check box.
- Click OK.
After the project is created, you are automatically redirected to the project homepage.
