Administrators and users who manage authorized datasets can configure usage permissions for all datasets except for behavioral data datasets. Non-administrators can also configure permissions for datasets they create. After permissions are granted, authorized users can find these datasets on the Authorized tab of the Datasets page and use them for operations such as analysis and filtering.
Grant permissions
On the Datasets page, find the dataset that you want to authorize, click the
icon, and select Permission Settings. In the dialog box that appears, select Usage Permissions.
The current dataset is selected by default. You can also select other datasets. A select-all option is available.
Select an Authorization Method. The available methods are By User and By User Group.
NoteThese two authorization methods are mutually exclusive. You can select only one. If you grant permissions using one method and then switch to the other, the previous authorizations are revoked. Only the new authorizations take effect.
A list of authorized user accounts or user groups for the selected dataset appears below, along with the authorization validity period.
NoteIf you select multiple datasets, the list shows only the accounts or user groups that are authorized for all of the selected datasets. An empty validity period field indicates that the validity periods differ across the datasets. View each dataset individually to see its specific validity period.
Revoke authorization: Click Remove next to a user account or user group. The authorization is revoked immediately.
Grant authorization: Select one or more user accounts or user groups, set a validity period, and click OK.
