Migrate to a dedicated cluster

You can use Data Transmission Service (DTS) to migrate databases from other environments to an ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster. For example, you can migrate a self-managed MySQL database to an ApsaraDB for MyBase for MySQL instance. For a detailed list of supported scenarios, see the following table.

DTS can access data from ApsaraDB for MyBase instances. When you configure the source and destination for a migration task, the RDS Instance ID parameter lists both RDS and ApsaraDB for MyBase instances. To configure a migration within the same Alibaba Cloud account, set the source database parameters as follows: for Database Type, select MySQL; for Access Method, select Cloud Instance; and for Instance Region, select the region of the destination instance, such as Singapore. Set the cross-account migration option to No. Then, select the source instance from the RDS Instance ID drop-down list. If you cannot find the instance, ensure that the instance is running.
