Go to Workspace >User Insights >Asset Management >Tag Management. On this page, you can view an overview and usage statistics for tags from the user tag dataset, which includes custom tag datasets. You can also create custom tags and manage tag categories.

Tag overview
The tag overview at the top of the Tag Management page includes:
Total number of tag assets
Number of tags in use: Includes tags used for analysis, filtering, and pushes.
Number of unused tags

The tag overview is interactive with the tag list. When you select an item in the overview, the tag list below is updated to display only the corresponding tags. This selection also applies to subsequent searches and filters by tag source or tag category. For example, if you select 'Number of tags in use', the tag list shows only tags that are in use, and any further searches or filters will be restricted to this set of tags.
Tag list
The tag list shows information such as tag source, category, usage heat, values, description, and whether the tag can be used for perspective analysis, as shown in the following figure.
The tag list shows the usage heat for each tag. Usage heat indicates how frequently a tag is used over a period of time. This helps you understand the usage and value of each tag.
Total Heat = Perspective Analysis Count + Filter Count + Push Count.
Perspective Analysis Count: The number of times a tag is used in Perspective Analytics and Audience Analysis. The count is incremented each time a user clicks or searches for the tag.
Filter Count: The number of times a tag is used in an audience filter. When you create or edit an audience, the count is updated based on the tags present upon saving. For edits, this update affects the counts for both the original and final tags. The count does not change when an audience's membership is updated manually or automatically.
Push Count: The number of times a tag is pushed to Data Bank. Failed pushes are also counted.
By default, the list displays tags from all datasets, up to a maximum of 5,000 tags across 500 pages. You can also select a single dataset from the Tag Source drop-down list to view only its tags.
The default statistical period for usage heat is the last 30 days. You can select a different period from the Usage Heat Statistical Period drop-down list. The available periods are:
Last 7 days
Last 30 days
Last 60 days
Last 90 days
NoteThe current day is not included. Data is updated daily at 5:00 AM.
By default, tags from all categories are displayed. You can also turn on the Tag Category switch and select a specific category to view its tags.

You can use the search box in the upper-right corner to find tags by name. The search is limited to the currently selected tag source and tag category.
