Plan atomic operations

A plan atomic operation is the smallest unit of an emergency or disaster recovery operation. You can apply it to emergency plans or disaster recovery plans.

System atomic operations

  1. Log on to the High Availability Management Console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

  3. On the System Atomic Operations tab, click the name of the target atomic operation or click Details in the Actions column to view its basic information and parameter settings.

Custom atomic operations

Create an atomic operation

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

  2. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click Create. In the Create Custom Atomic Operation panel, configure the following parameters.

    Enter a name for the atomic operation.

    Select Java Script, Python Script, or Shell Script.

    Tag

    Optional

    Select one or more tags for easy query and statistics. To add a new tag, switch to the ROC tenant and add it on the Backend Management > Tag Management page.

  3. Click OK.

    The status of the atomic operation changes to Pending Self-test.

  4. Add parameter settings.

    1. Click the name of the atomic operation to open its details page. In the parameter settings section, click Add and configure the following parameters.

      A regular expression. The default value is ^[0-9a-zA-Z.]+$.

      Select whether to encrypt the parameter.

    2. Click Save.

  5. (Optional) Upload a JAR package.

    1. Click Upload JAR Package.

    2. Select the JAR package from your local computer to import it.

  6. On the atomic operation details page, click Complete Self-test.

    Note

    Alternatively, on the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click image..png > Complete Self-test in the Actions column for the target atomic operation.

    The status of the atomic operation changes to Self-tested.

  7. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, in the Actions column for the target atomic operation, click image..png > Submit for Approval.

  8. After the operation is approved, its status changes to Published. You can then apply the atomic operation.

More operations

Edit an atomic operation

You can edit the plan information in one of the following methods:

  • Method 1:

    1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

    2. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click Edit in the Actions column for the target atomic operation. On the Edit Custom Atomic Operation page, modify the information.

    3. Click OK.

  • Method 2:

    1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

    2. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click the name of the target atomic operation to open its details page. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Edit. On the Edit Custom Atomic Operation page, modify the information.

    3. Click OK.

Clone an atomic operation

The plan atomic operation module lets you clone existing atomic operations. You can then modify the cloned operation to create a new one. The procedure is as follows:

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

  2. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click Clone in the Actions column for the target atomic operation.

    The cloned atomic operation appears in the list with a status of Pending Self-test. The operation cannot be applied until it is submitted for approval and published.

  3. Edit the cloned atomic operation. Add parameter settings and upload a JAR package. For more information, see Create an atomic operation.

  4. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click image..png > Complete Self-test in the Actions column for the target atomic operation.

  5. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click image..png > Submit for Approval in the Actions column for the target atomic operation.

  6. After the operation is approved, its status changes to Published. You can then apply the atomic operation.

Delete an atomic operation

Important

A deleted plan cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

  2. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click Delete in the Actions column for the target atomic operation. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

Export an atomic operation

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

  2. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, select the target atomic operation, and then click Export.

Import an atomic operation

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Emergency Plan > Plan Atomic Operation.

  2. On the Custom Atomic Operations tab, click Import.

  3. Select the atomic operation to import from your local computer and click Open.
