Add an alert rule
Create alert rules for your monitoring needs.
Procedure
Log on to the OceanBase console .
In the navigation pane on the left, click Instance List.
On the cluster workbench page, in the navigation pane on the left, click Performance Monitoring.
In the upper-right corner, click Add Alert Rule.

Specify an associated instance:
Product: Defaults to OceanBase Database.
Resource Range: Select All Resources, Application Group, or Instance.
If you select All Resources, an alert notification is sent when any instance of the product meets the alert rule conditions.
If you select Application Group, an alert notification is sent when an instance in the specified application group meets the alert rule conditions.
If you select Instance, an alert notification is sent only when the selected instance meets the alert rule conditions. To create a rule for an application group, navigate to the group's resource page.
Set the alert rule:

Rule Name: Enter a unique name for the rule.
Metric Type:
Single Metric: Select a metric and set a threshold and an alert level for it.
Combined Metrics: Select an alert level, and then configure alert conditions for two or more metrics.
Expression: Select an alert level, and then configure an alert expression.
NoteIf you configure an alert rule for multiple metrics, the target resource must have data for each metric to trigger an alert. For example, if a multi-metric alert rule includes a metric for the public network, but the ECS host does not have a public IP address, the alert cannot be triggered.
Intelligent Threshold: For more information about intelligent thresholds, see Overview and Create an alert rule for an intelligent threshold.
Metric: Select the metric to monitor.
Threshold and Alert Level: Set the thresholds that trigger different alert levels.
Monitoring Chart Preview: View a preview of the monitoring chart.
Configure other alert parameters.
Parameter
Description
Mute For
The interval at which a new alert notification is sent if an alert is not cleared. Valid values: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours.
When a metric reaches its threshold, an alert is triggered. If the metric continues to exceed the threshold during the mute period, no new alert notifications are sent. If the metric has not recovered after the mute period, Cloud Monitor sends another alert notification.
For example, if you set Mute For to 12 hours, Cloud Monitor sends another alert notification after 12 hours if the alert is not cleared.
Effective Period
The period during which the alert rule is active. Alert notifications are sent only during the effective period.
NoteWhen an alert rule is outside its effective period, no alert notifications are sent. However, the alert records are still displayed in the Alert History list.
Alert Contact Group
The contact group that receives alert notifications.
Alert notifications for an application group are sent to the alert contacts in this group. An alert contact group is a set of one or more alert contacts.
For more information about how to create alert contacts and alert contact groups, see Create an alert contact or an alert contact group.
Tags
The tags of the alert rule. A tag consists of a tag name and a tag value.
NoteAdd up to 6 tags.
