Space Members Management

Add a single space member

Procedure:

1. Click the icon in the upper-right corner of the page and choose Workspace > Workspace > Space Members Management.

2. In the upper-right corner, click Add Space Member > Add Single Member.

3. In the dialog box that appears, select a member account from the organization or enter the Alibaba Cloud account of a user who has not yet joined the organization. Enter a nickname for the user and select one or more space roles to assign to the member. The member is granted the permissions of all selected roles.

   Note

   The nickname must be unique within the organization. It can be the same as the account name. If the account name contains an at sign (@), use the characters before the at sign.

   

4. Click OK to finish.

Add space members in a batch

When you add space members in a batch, they are automatically assigned the default space role. For more information about how to set the default space role, see Space Roles Management.

Procedure:

1. Click the icon in the upper-right corner of the page and choose Workspace > Workspace > Space Members Management.

2. In the upper-right corner, click Add Space Member > Batch Add.

3. In the dialog box that appears, upload an Excel file that contains the account names and nicknames of the members to add. The accounts can be existing accounts in the organization or accounts that have not yet joined the organization. To download the file template, click Get Template for Batch Adding Organization Members.

   Note

   Nicknames can contain Chinese characters, letters, digits, and underscores (_). They cannot be purely numeric. A nickname must be 1 to 32 characters in length and unique within the organization. It can be the same as the account name. If the account name contains an at sign (@), use the characters before the at sign.

   

4. Click OK to finish.

Manage space members

After you add space members, they appear in the space members list. The list shows their nicknames, user groups, roles, and other information, as shown in the following figure.

You can perform the following management operations on members:

• Edit: Click the icon. In the dialog box that appears, change the nickname for the member, and add or remove roles. Then, click OK.

• Remove: Click the icon. In the dialog box that appears, select another member in the space to be the assignee of the member's work, and then click OK. The member is removed from the space, and the ownership of their work is transferred to the assignee.

  If the member belongs only to this space, the member is also removed from the organization.

• Set roles: Select the check boxes next to one or more members, or select all members. Click Set Roles. In the dialog box that appears, select the roles and click OK to assign the roles to the selected members.

  For each role you select, the system checks if a member already has that role. If a member already has the role, a message appears asking if you want to assign the role again. Click Cancel Add to skip assigning the role to that member. The role is assigned to the other members as normal. Click Continue Add to assign the role to all selected members.

• Revoke roles: Select the check boxes next to one or more members, or select all members. Click Revoke Roles. In the dialog box that appears, select the roles and click OK to revoke the roles from the selected members.

  If a member has the selected role, it is revoked. If a member does not have the selected role, or if it is their only remaining role, it is not revoked.
