Cluster add-on components are extension packages in Container Application Service that manage the extended features of a cluster. You can select components as needed.
Install components
Prerequisites
Procedure
Log on to the Container Application Service console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Cluster Management > Cluster Details.
On the Cluster Details page, select the Component Management tab.
Find the component to install and click Install in the lower-right corner of its card.
cafeextcontroller: A system component used to publish and deploy applications.
oamcontroller: An optional component used to publish and deploy OAM applications.
mosn-ingress: A system component used to configure Ingress routing.
apiserver-network-proxy: A system component used as a proxy for the cluster kube-apiserver.
cloud-controller-manager: A system component used to create Server Load Balancers for Kubernetes applications and manage unified access routing.
NoteSystem components are required and are installed by default when a cluster is created.
Result
After the component is installed, the status in the upper-right corner of the card changes to Installed.
Reinstall components
You can reinstall a component if it is not working correctly.
Procedure
Log on to the Container Application Service console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Cluster Management > Cluster Details.
On the Cluster Details page, select the Component Management tab.
Find the component to reinstall and click Reinstall > OK on its card.
Upgrade components
You can upgrade cluster components only using the Upgrade feature on the Component Management page. Other methods may cause unexpected issues.
Before upgrading a component, ensure that all nodes in the cluster are in the Running state. Otherwise, the upgrade may fail.
Procedure
Log on to the Container Application Service console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Cluster Management > Cluster Details.
On the Cluster Details page, select the Component Management tab.
Find the component to upgrade and click Upgrade on its card.
