Elastic IP addresses (EIPs) that are associated with ECS instances or NAT Gateway instances are considered compliant.
Scenarios
This rule helps you detect EIPs that are not associated with an ECS instance or a NAT Gateway instance to avoid costs for idle resources.
Risk level
Default risk level: Low.
You can change the risk level of this rule as required.
Detection logic
If all EIPs are associated with ECS instances or NAT Gateway instances, the resources are compliant.
If one or more EIPs are not associated with an ECS instance or a NAT Gateway instance, the resources are non-compliant. For more information, see Remediation.
