After you create an ApsaraDB for MyBase host, you can upgrade its specifications if its current specifications no longer meet your business requirements. This topic describes how to upgrade host specifications.
Prerequisites
-
You have created an ApsaraDB for MyBase cluster for MySQL High-availability Edition.
-
You have created a host that uses a local SSD or an ESSD. For more information, see Add a MySQL host.
-
You have confirmed that the current host specifications can be upgraded. For more information, see Supported upgrade specifications.
Limitations
- You can only upgrade host specifications. Downgrading is not supported.
- The Upgrade Specifications option is grayed out and you cannot upgrade the host specifications if:
- An instance is being created on the host.
- An instance is being migrated on the host.
- The host is locked due to expiration.
- You can only upgrade to a specification within the same host instance family. For more information about host specifications, see Host specification details.
- You can only upgrade the CPU and memory of a host at the same time. You cannot upgrade only the CPU or only the memory.
- You must wait at least 10 minutes between upgrades on the same host.
- Upgrading host specifications causes the host to restart. Database instances that run on the host also restart.Note
- When the host restarts, a primary/secondary switchover occurs for the primary instance on the host, which may cause one or two transient disconnections.
- The duration of the host restart is affected by the duration of the primary/secondary switchover.
