You need to first create a Dedicated Cluster MyBase before you can use the features in Dedicated Cluster MyBase.
Background
For more information about ApsaraDB MyBase for Redis, see ApsaraDB MyBase for Redis.
Usage notes
A Dedicated Cluster MyBase can reside in only one region.
A MyBase dedicated cluster can only belong to one VPC.
You cannot configure overcommit ratios when you Create Dedicated Cluster. You can modify these ratios after the cluster is created. For more information, see Set overcommit ratios to reduce costs. The default overcommit ratios for the Redis engine are:
CPU Overcommit Ratio: 300%
Storage Overcommit Ratio: 100%
Maximum Memory Usage: 100%
Procedure
Log in to the ApsaraDB MyBase console.
In the upper-left corner, select the target region.
On the Dedicated Clusters page, click Create Dedicated Cluster.
On the Create Dedicated Cluster page, configure the following parameters.
Parameter
Description
Engine
The engine of the dedicated cluster. Select Redis.
Dedicated cluster name
The name of the dedicated cluster.
VPC
Select the VPC to which the dedicated cluster belongs.
NoteIf no VPCs are available in the drop-down list or you need to create a new one, create one in the VPC console.
The VPC of a dedicated cluster cannot be changed after the cluster is created. To change the VPC, you must delete the cluster and create a new one. Ensure that you select the correct VPC.
Resource Allocation Policy
The policy for resource scheduling in the dedicated cluster:
- Balanced Allocation: Prioritizes system stability by allocating resources from hosts that have fewer or no allocated resources.
- Compact Allocation: Prioritizes resource utilization by allocating resources from hosts that were created earlier and have more allocated resources.
Grant OS Permissions
Hosts in a dedicated cluster that uses the Redis engine do not come with operating system (OS) permissions. This option is disabled by default.
-
The first time you create an ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster, grant permissions on your cloud resources.
The first time you create an ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster, the following message appears in the lower part of the panel. You must grant permissions on elastic network interfaces (ENIs) and security groups of Elastic Compute Service (ECS). Click Authorize Now. On the Cloud Resource Access Authorization page, click Confirm Authorization Policy.
NoteAfter you grant permissions, the AliyunRDSDedicatedHostGroupRole role is displayed on the Roles page of the Resource Access Management (RAM) console. If you want to use ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated clusters, retain this role. If this role is deleted, you must grant the permissions again to create a dedicated cluster.
Click OK.
