If an instance reaches its connection limit or experiences performance issues, you can restart it manually.

Impact

Restarting an instance causes a service interruption that lasts for approximately 30 seconds. Plan your business operations accordingly and proceed with caution.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the target region.
  3. In the Actions column for the target dedicated cluster, click Details.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Instances.
  5. In the Actions column for the target instance, choose > Restart.
  6. In the dialog box that appears, configure the following parameters.
    Parameter Description
    Restart Method
    • Restart Now: Restarts the instance immediately.
    • Restart During Maintenance Window: Restarts the instance after all primary instances on the current host fail over to secondary instances on other hosts. This method prevents service interruptions.
    • Restart at a Specified Time: Restarts the instance at a specified date and time.
  7. Click OK.
Note The instance may take a few moments to start as its storage resources are migrated.
