In a smart living space, consumers interact with physical devices through an app or by voice. The platform supports device control through the Cloud Intelligence App, a proprietary app, or the Tmall Genie app. You can set up these user interactions with a few simple configurations.
Prerequisites
You must create a product and define its functions. For more information, see Create a product and define its functions.
Procedure
After you define the product functions, click Next on the Function Definition page to open the User Interaction page.
The first time you open this page, select one or more apps. The following figure shows an example where multiple apps are selected.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose to configure the product icon and name displayed in the app.
Click Select from Icon Library to choose an icon for the product.
Alternatively, click Upload Image to upload a local image. The display image for the app must meet specific visual standards. For more information, see Product display image specifications.
Configure the product's display name in the app.
The product name consists of three parts: Brand, Name, and Model. All three parts are required.
The product name must follow these rules:
The name can contain letters, numbers, hyphens (-), at signs (@), and parentheses.
The content must not contain the word "test".
The name cannot exceed 30 characters.
Click Save.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Provisioning Guide to provision the network for the device in the app.
This example demonstrates Bluetooth Mesh provisioning. Click Configure to open the guide editing page.
On the editing page, configure the provisioning guide image and related text prompts for the product.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Device Panel to configure the product panel in the app.
The platform provides two ways to create a panel: from a Blank Panel or from a Template. You can also upload a custom panel that you developed.
This example demonstrates how to apply a panel template by selecting a Panel Template and clicking Apply to Panel.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose . Click the Enable button to view the voice commands for controlling the product with a Tmall Genie speaker.
NoteYou can use the command corpus from the platform for voice semantics training. This improves the device's voice control feature when you use a Tmall Genie speaker.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Product Manual to configure the product manual, network provisioning QR code, and material packaging.
For each selected app, you must upload the corresponding product manual. For more information, see Configure a product manual.
(Optional) Configure the remaining app parameters.
