Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Innovation Factory is a platform for service providers and manufacturers to develop customized, value-added software services. These services are then made available on the Tmall Genie app and screen-equipped speakers. The platform lets you develop Internet of Things (IoT) products with enhanced features and a better user experience.

Differences from the Consumer IoT Platform

The Consumer IoT Platform is primarily a platform for connecting hardware products. AIoT Innovation Factory is a software business solution platform built on the device access platform that lets you develop additional features. You can deploy the server-side in a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud environment. You can also use the platform's standard services to seamlessly connect with Tmall Genie speakers, the Tmall Genie app and its mini programs, and the IoT device access platform. This enables end-to-end custom development in the IoT field. The endpoint for the SaaS platform is: https://iot.aligenie.com/saas/application.

Note Use the Consumer IoT Platform to connect products. If you only need to control devices and display their status, you do not need to use AIoT Innovation Factory. For product categories with advanced business features that require custom services and new APIs, you must use AIoT Innovation Factory. Applications created in AIoT Innovation Factory can be used and tested with products on the Consumer IoT Platform, both during development and after they are published. If a product is linked to an application, you must publish the application before you publish the product.
