How to set a mailbox nickname?

Procedure

1. Log on to the Alibaba Mail web client and click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner.

2. On the Settings page, choose Account & Security > Account Information.

3. On the Account Information page, select the Use custom name radio button, and then enter a custom sender name.

   

   Note

   The recipient's email client may prioritize the name from their address book. To verify that the nickname setting has taken effect, check the decoded 'From' field in the raw email source.

4. Click Save.

5. The sender name is displayed as the mailbox nickname only for emails sent outside the organization (that is, to an account with a different domain name).
