This topic describes how to modify the computing power configuration of a Serverless instance.

Background information

After you create a Serverless instance, you can set the minimum and maximum scaling limits for a single node. The Serverless instance then dynamically adjusts its resources within this range based on workload changes to ensure efficient resource use.

Prerequisites

A Serverless instance is required. To create one, see Create a Serverless instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the OceanBase Management Console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Instance List.

  3. On the Instance List page, find the target Serverless instance and click its name to open the Serverless Workbench.

  4. On the Serverless Workbench page, click the More icon in the upper-right corner and select Modify Computing Power from the drop-down menu.

  5. Set the minimum and maximum computing power for the Serverless instance.

    Note

    • Serverless instances use the OceanBase Capacity Unit (OCU) for per-second billing and auto-scaling. One OCU is equivalent to approximately 1 CPU core and 2 GB of memory. The number of OCUs dynamically adjusts within the specified range based on the workload.

    • You cannot set the maximum computing power to a value lower than the current computing power.

  6. Click OK.

What to do next

After you modify the computing power, you can view the updated computing power range of the instance on the Serverless Workbench.
