Dear User,
Thank you for your continued support and trust in our product. To continuously improve our product and provide better services, we will perform a major version upgrade between September 11, 2023 and September 14, 2023. This upgrade introduces new features and improvements designed to enhance team collaboration, data security, and the user experience. The details of this upgrade are as follows:
New features and improvements:
Project-based management for databases, members, and tickets: We have introduced project-based management capabilities. This feature lets you manage databases, members, and tickets on a per-project basis. This helps you better organize and track database changes and improves team collaboration.
SQL check feature: This feature lets you check and evaluate change requests to ensure compliance and security. You can run SQL checks to promptly find potential issues and make the necessary adjustments before the change to reduce risks.
Data masking feature: This feature lets you process sensitive data to protect user privacy and comply with data security regulations.
Data cleaning and data archiving features: To help you optimize database storage and management, we have added data cleaning and data archiving features. You can separate and clean data based on its usage frequency and importance. This improves database performance and efficiency.
Product interaction optimization: We have optimized the layout of the SQL console to provide a better user experience.
Product changes and important notes:
Connection adjustments: The concept of connections has been replaced with data sources. Personal connections have been migrated to your personal space, and public connections have been migrated to the team space. Both now exist as data sources. For previous public connections, only the read-write account is retained after the upgrade. The previous read-only restriction is now enforced using the SQL parsing and interception capabilities of OceanBase Developer Center (ODC).
User permission adjustments: The `private_connection` and `apply_connection` roles are now offline. If a user references these roles, the corresponding permissions will no longer be effective. To achieve the same effect as the previous `private_connection` role, you can configure permissions in your personal space.
System Settings adjustment: This upgrade removes the System Settings module.
Ticket module adjustment: For historical tickets, you can now view only the tickets that you submitted on the My Submissions tab.
Scheduled task adjustment: After this upgrade, historical partition plans and scheduled SQL tasks will stop running.
Task flow adjustment: This upgrade removes the Task Flow module. You can use the new Threat Level module to configure approval flows.
Data masking adjustment: This upgrade significantly enhances data masking capabilities. As a result, previous data masking configurations will no longer be effective.
Historical session adjustment: This upgrade removes the Historical Sessions module. After the upgrade, the state of the SQL window will be automatically saved by default.
You may experience some technical issues during the initial period after the upgrade. If you have any problems, please contact our technical support team. We will resolve them for you as soon as possible. We appreciate your trust and support and hope this upgrade provides you with a better service experience.
