General inspection - Starting a multi-dimensional inspection

Start an inspection task

1. In the menu, click Multi-dimensional Inspection. Select an inspection plan and click the Inspect Now button to start an inspection task.

2. Monitor the progress and wait for the inspection to complete. The inspection duration depends on the number of resources in your account. Accounts with many resources require a longer inspection time.

View multi-dimensional inspection results

1. In the menu, click Multi-dimensional Inspection. The page displays the results of the most recent inspection. The results are categorized by threat severity into three levels: Critical, Warning, and Healthy.

2. Click the drop-down arrow next to an inspection item to view a list of related instances.

Download a report

1. After the inspection is complete, navigate to the Multi-dimensional Inspection page. Click the Download Report button in the upper-right corner of the page. In the dialog box that appears, select a format to download the report.

Note: Currently, only the "Well-Architected Multi-dimensional Inspection" plan supports downloads in PDF and Excel formats. Other custom inspection plans support downloads in only the Excel format.

2. For other custom inspection plans, navigate to Historical Threats, select the relevant inspection plan, and click Download Report.
