The change management best practices check the stability of cloud resources from the change management perspective, helping you identify potential risks in advance and improve O&M efficiency. The following table describes the default rules.
Rule name |
Description |
Checks whether the snapshot creation time specified for each automatic snapshot policy falls within a specified time range. If so, the evaluation result is Compliant. Creating a snapshot for an Elastic Block Storage (EBS) device can degrade I/O performance by up to 10%, causing a transient speed decrease. We recommend that you create automatic snapshots during off-peak hours. |
Checks whether auto snapshots of ECS instances are retained for at least the specified number of days. If so, the evaluation result is Compliant. Default value: 7. |
Checks whether the maintenance window of each RDS instance matches one of the specified time ranges. If so, the evaluation result is Compliant. If your business peak hours overlap with the maintenance window, your business may be affected. |
Checks whether the maintenance window of each AnalyticDB cluster falls within a specified time range. If so, the evaluation result is Compliant. |
Checks whether the maintenance window of each PolarDB cluster matches one of the specified time ranges. If so, the evaluation result is Compliant. If your business peak hours overlap with the maintenance window, your business may be affected. |
Checks whether the automatic backup window of each Redis instance matches one of the specified time ranges. If so, the evaluation result is Compliant. If your business peak hours overlap with the backup window, your business may be affected. |
