Renew a host

When a host in an ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster is about to expire, stops, or is locked, you can renew the host on the Hosts page to ensure the availability of the host.

Prerequisites

Manual renewal

Renew a single host

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the target region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Dedicated Clusters, find the target cluster, and click Details in the Actions column.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Hosts. Find the target host and choose More > Renew in the Actions column.

  5. On the Renew page, set a duration and agree to the terms of service.

  6. Click Buy Now and complete the payment.

Renew multiple hosts

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

  3. Select the hosts that you want to renew and click Batch Renew.

  4. Select a renewal duration, click Pay, and complete the payment.

Enable auto-renewal

Enabling auto-renewal ensures your host is renewed automatically before it expires, preventing service disruption from a missed manual payment.

Enable auto-renewal during purchase

When purchasing a subscription host, you can select Auto-renewal.

Enable auto-renewal after purchase

  1. Log in to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

  3. Use one of the following methods to enable auto-renewal:

    • To enable auto-renewal for a single host, find the host and click Enable Auto Renewal in the Actions column.

    • To enable auto-renewal for one or more hosts, select the hosts and click Enable Auto Renewal.

  4. In the Enable Auto Renewal dialog box, select a renewal duration, and then click Enable Auto Renewal.

When you enable auto-renewal, your hosts are automatically renewed before they expire. This helps prevent service interruptions caused by a missed manual renewal.

Usage notes

  • Ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance to prevent renewal failures.

  • If three consecutive auto-deduction attempts fail, you must manually renew the host to prevent service downtime and potential data loss.

  • The auto-renewal feature takes effect on the following day. If your host expires tomorrow, we recommend that you manually renew it to avoid service interruptions.

Enable auto-renewal during purchase

When you purchase a subscription host, you can enable auto-renewal. On the purchase page, select the Auto-renewal checkbox below the Duration section.

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

  3. Choose one of the following methods to enable auto-renewal:

    • To enable auto-renewal for a single host: Find the target host and click Enable Auto Renewal in the Actions column.

    • To enable auto-renewal for one or more hosts: Select the hosts and click Enable Auto Renewal.

  4. In the Enable Auto Renewal dialog box, select a renewal period and click Enable Auto Renewal.

Change the auto-renewal period

You can change the auto-renewal period based on your business needs.

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

  3. Choose one of the following methods to change the auto-renewal period:

    • To change the period for a single host: Find the target host and click Edit Auto Renewal in the Actions column.

    • To change the period for one or more hosts: Select the hosts and click Edit Auto Renewal.

  4. In the dialog box, select a new auto-renewal period and click OK.

Disable auto-renewal

If you do not want to renew a host after its current billing cycle ends, you can disable the auto-renewal feature.

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

  3. Choose one of the following methods to disable auto-renewal:

    • To disable auto-renewal for a single host: Find the target host and click Enable Manual Renewal in the Actions column.

    • To disable auto-renewal for one or more hosts: Select the hosts and click Enable Manual Renewal.

  4. In the dialog box, click OK.
