Basic information

The Alibaba Cloud-DingTalk miniapp is an Alibaba Cloud product that helps you collaborate efficiently between the Alibaba Cloud website and the DingTalk PC client during work hours. It improves your experience with resource alerting, cloud product operations and maintenance (O&M), resource management, and service inquiries. After work hours, you can use the DingTalk app on your mobile device to quickly check alerts and resolve issues from start to finish, which ensures a transparent and reliable process. 

Core features

1. Alibaba Cloud miniapp account features

Within the same organization, a single DingTalk user ID can be attached to one Alibaba Cloud account and up to five Resource Access Management (RAM) users from different Alibaba Cloud accounts.

To attach other Alibaba Cloud accounts, you must switch to a different DingTalk organization.

2. Receive real-time message pushes from Alibaba Cloud in DingTalk for faster alert awareness.

You can push messages to group chats or specific employees.

Message recipients and group members can only view the message cards. To manage resources, they must attach and log on to an Alibaba Cloud account.

Message content includes Alibaba Cloud CloudMonitor alerts, system messages, and service messages.

Note 1 for RAM users: By default, Resource Access Management (RAM) users cannot receive message pushes in DingTalk after they attach their RAM user and log on to the miniapp. To enable pushes, the Alibaba Cloud account owner must go to My > Settings > Message Recipient Management in the Alibaba Cloud miniapp and add the RAM user's corresponding DingTalk user.

Note 2 for RAM users: If a RAM user enables the Alibaba Cloud Cool App in a group chat, that group cannot receive message pushes from the user's parent Alibaba Cloud account. To receive messages in the group, the Alibaba Cloud account owner must enable the Cool App for the group chat.

3. Forward alerts to colleagues and mark alert statuses for more efficient collaborative O&M.

  • The organizational features and Cool App capabilities of the DingTalk platform enable collaborative O&M within a group. You can forward and assign alerts to colleagues and mark the processing status of alerts.

  • The system automatically compiles daily statistics on alert handling and progress. These statistics are embedded as a pinned message at the top of the O&M group chat, which improves the efficiency of collaborative O&M for enterprise customers.

4. Renew and purchase cloud products, top up your account, and view billing records for a more convenient purchasing experience.

5. Access a resource overview and mobile consoles for over 30 cloud products. This provides end-to-end capabilities for immediate O&M remediation.
