Alibaba Cloud RTC supports various business scenarios, including video conferencing, online education, music lessons, interactive streaming, video-based social networking, and gaming and entertainment.

Video conferencing

This service provides stable, low-latency real-time audio and video calls for one-to-one and group sessions. It features high resistance to packet loss, ultra-low latency, and high concurrency to support large-scale, high-definition meetings. The service also supports dynamic network optimization, multi-resolution video streams, screen sharing, proprietary audio tuning algorithms, and 3A audio processing for mainstream devices. This makes it ideal for both mobile video conferencing and conference room scenarios.

Online education

This service provides a high-availability (HA), high-quality, and high-concurrency network for real-time communication. This enables seamless audio and video interaction among teachers and students, which enhances the classroom experience. You can push the real-time audio and video streams of a class to a live center for large-scale distribution. The service also supports server-side recording and integrates with Object Storage Service (OSS) to archive courses for on-demand playback.

Music lessons

This service is optimized for music lessons and practice sessions. It delivers the high-definition sound quality required for instruments and vocals and ensures ultra-low latency for both audio and video. Parents can join the class channel to interact in real time or watch as observers through bypass streaming to monitor their child's progress. The service supports the recording and playback of lessons. Media files are saved to the cloud, which allows for easy editing, production, and high-definition video-on-demand (VOD).

Interactive streaming

This service provides stable, high-quality, and ultra-low latency interactive real-time audio and video. It supports multi-screen video interactions, such as co-streaming between streamers, interactions between streamers and viewers, and cross-channel interactions between streamers. The interactive video stream can be pushed to a live center for large-scale distribution to other viewers.

Video-based social networking

This service provides secure, high-definition, and low-latency real-time communication for mobile social apps. It supports 1-to-1 and 1-to-N interactive calls with multi-resolution streams, ultra-low latency, and optimization for poor network conditions. You can use APIs to flexibly control who can join or leave a channel and manage speaker permissions.

Gaming and entertainment

This service supports multi-person audio, video, or audio-only interactions for mobile entertainment, powered by professional 3A audio processing and optimization for poor network conditions. Examples include turn-based speaking games, where players speak in a set order or discuss freely according to the game's rules. Common games of this type include social deduction games such as Werewolf, detective games, and online board games.
