Modify a read replica

Notes

• The resource specifications of a tenant's read replica match those of the tenant. When you modify the tenant's resource specifications, the system automatically adjusts the specifications of the read replica to match.

• You can modify the specifications of an existing read replica. This operation, whether you are scaling up or down, does not affect your services.

Prerequisites

The cluster instance must have at least one read replica in a zone. For more information, see Manage cluster read replicas.

Procedure

You can perform the Modify Tenant Read Replica operation in one of the following three ways:

Method 1: Log on to the OceanBase Management Console. In the instance list, click the name of the target cluster instance to open the Cluster Instance Workspace. In the tenant list, click the name of the target tenant to open the Tenant Workspace. In the upper-right corner, click the icon and select Modify Tenant Resources.

Method 2: Log on to the OceanBase Management Console. In the instance list, click the name of the target cluster instance to open the Cluster Instance Workspace. In the tenant list, find the target tenant and click Modify Tenant Resources in its row.

Method 3: Log on to the OceanBase Management Console. In the instance list, click the name of the target cluster instance to open the Cluster Instance Workspace. In the topology graph, click Settings in the tenant area and select Modify Tenant Resources.

The following procedure uses Method 3 as an example.

1. Log on to the OceanBase Management Console.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Instance List.

3. In the instance list, find the target cluster instance and click its name to open the Cluster Instance Workspace.

4. In the topology graph, click Settings in the tenant area and select Modify Tenant Resources.

5. In the Modify Tenant Resources dialog box, click Modify Unit Specifications or Modify Number of Resource Units to modify the tenant resources.

   Note

   • The resources of the tenant's read replica must be consistent with the resources of the cluster's read replica. Otherwise, the modification may fail.

   • For information about modifying the tenant's Allocated Resource Amount, see Tenant specification limits.

   • In V4.x and later, you can adjust the log disk size. For more information about specifications, see Tenant specification limits.

6. Click OK to submit the changes.
