This topic describes how to delete a read replica from a cluster.

Prerequisites

This cluster has read replicas. For more information, see Add read replicas to a cluster.

Procedure

You can perform the Delete Read Replica operation in one of the following two ways:

Method 1: Log on to the OceanBase console. In the instance list, click More in the row of the target cluster instance.

Method 2: Log on to the OceanBase console. In the instance list, click the name of the destination cluster to go to the Cluster Instance Workbench page. Then, click image in the upper-right corner of the page.

The following steps use Method 1 as an example.

  1. Log on to the OceanBase console.

  2. In the navigation pane, click Instance List.

  3. In the instance list, find the target cluster instance and click More in its row.

  4. Click Manage Read Replicas.

  5. In the Manage Read Replicas dialog box, select Delete Read Replica, and then select the read replica that you want to delete.

    Note

This operation deletes all resources of the read replica. Before you proceed, ensure that tenants no longer need to access this replica and that the read replicas of the tenants are deleted.

  6. After you click OK, you are redirected to the payment page.

    Note
    • If you delete a read-only node from a subscription cluster, OceanBase Database issues a refund based on the billing rules. For more information, see Billing items.

    • If you delete a read-only node from a pay-as-you-go cluster, OceanBase Database stops charging for the specifications and storage of the deleted node in the next hour.

  7. After you delete all read replica nodes in the target zone, select the Terms of Service checkbox and click Buy Now to submit the request.
