[Version Maintenance] Kernel Version Upgrade for Tenant Instances from March 18 to 20, 2024
To improve the stability of the database service for MySQL tenant instances, Alibaba Cloud will upgrade their database kernel version from V3.2.4.3 to V3.2.4.7, starting March 18, 2024.
Reason for the upgrade
This upgrade improves the stability of the database service.
What is upgraded
The database kernel for MySQL tenant instances will be upgraded from version V3.2.4.3 to V3.2.4.7.
A MySQL tenant instance is an instance purchased from the product page, not a tenant created within a cluster instance.
Regions affected
This upgrade applies to MySQL tenant instances in the following regions.
Shenzhen
Hangzhou
Beijing
Upgrade schedule
Shenzhen Zone D will be upgraded from 21:00 on March 18, 2024, to 07:00 on March 19, 2024.
Zones H, I, and J in the Hangzhou region will undergo an upgrade from 9:00 PM on March 19, 2024 to 7:00 AM on March 20, 2024.
Beijing Zone H, Zone J, and Zone K will be upgraded between 21:00 on March 20, 2024 and 07:00 on March 21, 2024.
Impact of the upgrade
During the database upgrade, Alibaba Cloud upgrades and switches nodes one by one. You may experience one to three transient disconnections.
NoteEnsure your application has an automatic reconnection mechanism to recover quickly.
Alibaba Cloud will notify affected users by text message, internal message, or email. If you do not receive a notification, none of the OceanBase tenant instances in your Alibaba Cloud account are affected by this upgrade.
