Salesforce event integration
Connect your Salesforce organization to Quick Audience using the CXG Connector to route Salesforce platform events into your workspace.
Before you begin
Complete the following requirements before starting the integration.
In Salesforce:
Install the CXG Package and purchase the CXG service in Salesforce.
You must be a Salesforce system administrator or have the CXG Admin User permission.
-
Go to Setup > Permission Sets. Verify that the CXG Integration User permission set is assigned to your account. This permission set grants the permissions required to create Connectors in CXG.
CXG Integration User
A Quick Audience workspace has a one-to-one relationship with a Salesforce organization.
Connect Salesforce to Quick Audience
The setup has two parts: configuring the Connector in Salesforce (CXG), then obtaining the credentials from Quick Audience.
Set up the Connector in Salesforce
-
Log in to Salesforce. In the App Launcher, search for and switch to CXG. Click Setup > Connectors.

Click Add Connector and select Quick Audience.
-
Enter the App ID, Access Key, and Access Secret. For information about how to obtain these parameters, see the next section.
Field
Description
App ID
The unique identifier for your Quick Audience Salesforce application.
Access Key
The access key used to authenticate API calls from Salesforce.
Access Secret
The secret paired with the Access Key for authentication.
Confirm your entries and click Submit. The Connector status changes to connected.
Get credentials from Quick Audience
Log in to Quick Audience. Go to Configuration Management > Developer Platform > Application Management.

-
Click Add application and set Application Type to Salesforce.
NoteEach Quick Audience workspace supports only one Salesforce application. If a Salesforce application already exists, use its credentials instead of creating a new one.

-
Go to Developer Platform > API Marketplace > All APIs. Subscribe to the following Salesforce APIs:

Salesforce attach application
Salesforce ID type list query API
Salesforce sync Salesforce event metadata API
Salesforce event detail reporting API
Deleting event metadata
After subscribing, verify that the APIs appear in My Subscriptions.
Return to Application Management. For the Salesforce application, click API Permission Package. Click Manage APIs and select all subscribed APIs.

Select the Salesforce application. Copy the App ID, Access Key, and Access Secret.

Return to the Salesforce CXG Connector setup and paste the credentials into the corresponding fields.
What's next
