This document describes how to add a secondary node to a MyBase on ACK instance.

Prerequisites

  • The instance is deployed in a master-slave architecture.

  • The instance is deployed on ACK.

Notes

Adding a secondary node does not interrupt database services. However, the secondary node must replicate initialization data from the primary node. This process affects database performance. Therefore, perform this operation during off-peak hours.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the console, select a region. Find the cluster that you want to manage and click the cluster ID to go to the cluster management page.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

  4. Find the instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID to go to the Basic Information tab of the instance.

  5. In the Database Engine Node section, click Add Secondary Node.

  6. In the Add Secondary Node panel, select the number of secondary nodes, specifications, storage class, and storage space. Click OK.
