Background
Integrating Umeng personalized tag data with Enterprise Edition QA enriches user profiles. This process adds more dimensions to your user assets. You can then filter and analyze audiences with greater precision for targeted outreach.
Call Umeng tags
1. Feature entry point
Log on to Enterprise Edition QA and go to Configuration Management > Data Import > Third-party Data Fusion.

2. Configuration steps
(1) Click Create Task.

(2) Fill in the configuration details.
Task Name: Set a recognizable name.

Audience Name: Select an audience package to match with Umeng tags.

ID Type: Select the ID type that was used when you uploaded the audience package. You can select one ID type at a time.
Note: When you upload a first-party audience to Enterprise Edition QA, the available ID types for matching are mobile phone number, IDFA, OAID, and IMEI. The ID type you select here must be the same as the one used for the original audience upload.

ID Encryption Method: The drop-down list shows the number of users in the audience package matched by each encryption method.

Scheduling Frequency: Select Weekly, Monthly, or Manual. Manual scheduling is recommended.

Weekly: Matches the audience package with Umeng tags once a week. You can configure the execution time and period.
For example, the following figure shows a configuration to update and match Umeng tags for the selected audience package at 10:00 AM every Monday in September.

Monthly: Matches the audience package with Umeng tags once a month. You can configure the execution time and period.
For example, the following figure shows a configuration to update and match Umeng tags for the selected audience package at 10:00 AM on the 1st of each month from September to December.

Manual: Matches the audience package with Umeng tags as soon as the task is configured.

3. Successful execution
Upon successful execution, the status changes to "Successful".

Use Umeng tags
After the task runs successfully, you can use the Umeng tags in the User Insights module.
1. Tag management
(1) Go to User Insights > Tag Management to view all Umeng tags.

Note: "Used tags" refers to tags that have been used for analysis or filtering.

(2) The section in the red box on the right shows the Umeng tag coverage and task execution status for the entire audience. The entire audience includes all users from the Umeng tag tasks that have been executed.

(3) For each tag, you can view its Details or use it to Filter.

2. Audience filtering
(1) Go to User Insights > Audience Insights > Audience Filtering. Click User Tag to use Umeng tags for audience segmentation.

The figure shows an example of filtering for female Android users who live in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, or Hangzhou. These users often go online between 21:00 and 23:00, prefer to compare prices when shopping, and enjoy watching short videos.

(2) Name the audience package, select a directory, and then generate the audience. You can also estimate the audience size before you generate the audience.
3. Audience analysis
(1) Go to User Insights > Audience Insights > Audience Analysis. Select an audience package to analyze.

(2) Select the tags you want to analyze.

(3) The tag analysis for the audience package appears below.

Note 1: You can save frequently used tags as an analysis template, as shown in the figure.

Note 2: You can add a comparison audience for comparative analysis.

4. Automated marketing: Tag-based conditions
(1) Go to Automated Marketing > Create Marketing Campaign. You can choose to Create Custom or Create from Template.

(2) After you select an audience package, add a tag condition and use Umeng tags to filter the audience. This lets you send different text messages to different user segments or send the same message to all segments for comparative analysis.


For example, the figure shows how to send Super Messages to male and female users in an audience package to compare the effectiveness of the messages.
