Introduction to exclusive mode

Exclusive mode is a usage model for compute resources. Unlike shared resource modes, such as session and inference, exclusive mode provides dedicated access to compute resources for a specified period. This access is guaranteed even when you do not have active computing tasks.

Billing for exclusive mode is based on the reservation duration of each exclusive resource instance in your tenant. The reservation duration for each exclusive resource is recorded to the second, and billing is calculated by the hour.

Exclusive mode offers two billing methods: subscription and pay-as-you-go.

The subscription billing method lets you purchase exclusive access to resources for various durations, such as one month, six months, or one year. The service becomes effective immediately after purchase. During the subscription period, the compute resources are reserved for your exclusive use. You can purchase the number of instances that you need, such as 10 or 20. To change the number of subscription instances, you must upgrade or downgrade your plan. You cannot change the quantity directly in the console. A key benefit of the subscription billing method is that it helps you secure popular instance types for long-term use. With the pay-as-you-go billing method, your total usage time for all exclusive instances is calculated monthly. The final fee is based on this total time and a unit price. You can set the reservation time and policy in the console. If you need many instances, you must plan your reservation time in advance. You can also use the subscription and pay-as-you-go billing methods at the same time to meet different needs.

Pay-as-you-go unit price

Usage is calculated for each calendar month. The pricing is as follows:

• Duration = Total usage of all exclusive mode instances in a month (in seconds) / 3,600

• Exclusive mode usage fee = Unit price × Duration

• Example: If you use 4 instances for a total of 380 hours in May, your total exclusive mode fee for May is:

380 × 56.25 = CNY 21,375

Subscription pricing

The pricing for the subscription billing method is as follows:

Subscription activation rule

Subscription instances are activated immediately after purchase. The validity period starts on the date of purchase and lasts for the subscription duration that you select.

For example, if you purchase a six-month subscription for three instances on April 20, you will have exclusive access to these three instances until October 20.
