The circadian rhythm feature is based on the human body clock. It follows natural light patterns to adjust a light's brightness and color temperature throughout the day, creating a natural lighting experience. You can also customize the settings to suit your personal routine.

Overview

Figure 1 shows the device panel for a light with the circadian rhythm feature. Before turning on the circadian rhythm switch, you must configure its settings. By default, the configuration includes six time points, each with a corresponding transition duration, target brightness, and color temperature (Figure 2). These settings are active every day of the week.

The six default time points are Wake-up, Noon, Nap, Post-nap, Evening, and Bedtime. You can add or delete rhythm points as needed (Figure 4). You can also select the days of the week on which the schedule is active. For example, Figure 3 shows a schedule that is active from Monday to Friday but not on weekends.

Enable the circadian rhythm feature

Log on to the IoT Platform. Create a new project and then create a light category. Click Add Feature and select Circadian Rhythm Switch as shown in the following figure. This enables the circadian rhythm feature for the device.
