System notification management lets you forward system alerts and notifications from the postmaster account to other email accounts in your domain, so administrators never miss critical updates.
Background
The primary administrator postmaster account, included with Alibaba Mail, is intended for daily operational management rather than regular email correspondence. It also receives system alerts, updates, and notifications. Because this account is rarely used for day-to-day work, important notifications may not reach the administrator in time. In addition, the postmaster account has a 5 MB capacity limit. If this limit is exceeded, notification emails may be lost, which can disrupt email management for the domain.
Solution
Alibaba Mail provides the system notification management feature, which allows administrators to designate other email accounts within the same domain to receive system notifications. Once configured, these accounts receive copies of all system notifications that are sent to the postmaster account.
Steps
1. Log on to the email management background with the postmaster account and select Tools -System Notification Management;
2. Enter the desired email accounts, with the option to set multiple accounts. After entering the accounts, click Save.
Note: A maximum of 10 email accounts can be configured, and external domain accounts are not supported.
Access to the system notification management page is exclusive to the postmaster account.
