Unsubscribe from a host

Important notes

• You must release all instances on the host before unsubscribing from it. Otherwise, the unsubscription request will fail.

• Only the cash amount paid is refunded. Used vouchers are not returned.

• If you purchased the host during a promotional event:

  • If the refund policy conflicts with the event rules, the event rules prevail.

  • If the event terms prohibit unsubscription, you cannot unsubscribe.

  • If a refund occurs, any promotional gifts, such as vouchers or extended service periods, are forfeited.

Refund policy

• 5-day unconditional unsubscription:

  Each Alibaba Cloud account can unsubscribe from one ApsaraDB for MyBase host unconditionally per calendar year (from January 1 to December 31).

  For a 5-day unconditional unsubscription, you receive a full refund, and no fees are charged for the host.

• Partial refund unsubscription:

  Refund Amount = Actual Payment - Used Amount

  Note

  • Actual Payment: The cash amount paid for the order. This excludes the value of any applied vouchers.

  • Used Amount: Daily subscription rate × Number of days used.

  • Usage duration is calculated in full days. A partial day is counted as a full day.

  For example, you purchased a host for one month at a cost of CNY 8,002. You use the host for 10 days and then unsubscribe. The used amount is calculated as (8,002 / 30) × 10 = 2,667. The refund amount is 8,002 - 2,667 = 5,335.

Procedure

1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console. Release all instances on the host. For instructions, see Release an instance.

2. Log on to the Unsubscription Management page.

3. Select a product type, choose ApsaraDB for MyBase (Managed Edition) Host Subscription from the Product Name drop-down list, enter the instance ID, and then click Search.

   Note

   You can enter multiple instance IDs (up to 50 for the same product), separated by commas (,) or spaces.

4. Select 5-Day Unconditional Unsubscription or Partial Refund Unsubscription.

5. In the Actions column of the target host, click Unsubscribe Resource.

6. Select a Reason for Unsubscription, select the checkboxes to agree to the terms, and then click Unsubscribe Now.

   On the Unsubscribe Resource page, a note at the top states that the refund amount is the total payment minus the cost for the used period, and that vouchers are non-refundable. You must select the following checkboxes: I have read the Unsubscription Rules and confirm the refund amount. and I confirm that the data of the instance to be unsubscribed has been backed up and migrated.

   Important

   Carefully review the resource information, unsubscription terms, and refund amount. After you unsubscribe, the host is immediately locked and becomes unavailable.

   • If you unsubscribe from a host by mistake, you can renew it within 6 days to resume using it. For more information, see Renew a host.

   • If you do not renew the host within 6 days after it is locked, the system releases the host and all instances on it on the 7th day. Released hosts and instances are unrecoverable.

   • While the host is in a locked state before it is released, you are still charged storage fees for any instances that use ESSD cloud disks on that host.

7. In the Prompt dialog box that appears, click OK.

   The dialog box warns that after the unsubscription request is submitted, the services, resources, and data of the related instances are immediately released and become unrecoverable. Confirm that you have completed data migration or backup.

   Note

   You can track the unsubscription process in My Orders. The refund is credited to the original payment source, such as an Alipay account, online banking, or your Alibaba Cloud account.
