Delete a virtual MFA device in the Alibaba Cloud app

To uninstall the Alibaba Cloud app, replace your mobile device, or delete a virtual Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) device, you must first detach the device on the Alibaba Cloud website. You can then delete it in the Alibaba Cloud app. This topic describes the procedure for an Alibaba Cloud account.

Important

  • After you detach an MFA device from an Alibaba Cloud account, the device can no longer be used for multi-factor authentication. This reduces your account's security.

  • You must detach the virtual MFA device on the Alibaba Cloud website before you uninstall the Alibaba Cloud app, replace your mobile device, or delete the device. Otherwise, you cannot log on to your account. If you replace your mobile device, back up the MFA and import it to the new device.

Prerequisites

Make sure that your Alibaba Cloud app is V4.6 or later.

Procedure

  1. Detach the virtual MFA device.

    1. 使用阿里云账号（主账号）登录阿里云控制台。

    2. 将鼠标悬停在右上角头像的位置，单击安全设置。

    3. 在左侧导航栏，单击账号安全。

    4. 在虚拟MFA区域，单击解绑。

    5. 在验证身份页面，选择MFA验证，输入MFA安全码，然后单击立即验证，完成MFA设备的解绑。

      您也可以选择其他验证方式进行身份验证，请按界面提示操作。

  2. Delete the virtual MFA device.

    1. Open the Alibaba Cloud app and tap the Console tab at the bottom.

    2. In the upper-right corner, tap the image icon.

    3. Tap the image icon for the target virtual MFA device. Then, tap Delete > Confirm to delete the MFA device.
