Spring Cloud SOFA Registry provides service registration and discovery for applications and is a key component for building Spring Cloud SOFA microservices. It relies on the SOFA Registry distributed service registry to provide highly available and reliable registration for many services.
SOFA Registry is a production-grade, low-latency, and highly available service registry developed by Ant Group. It uses an AP architecture (from the CAP theorem), which prioritizes availability. It supports pushes within seconds and uses a layered architecture to enable infinite horizontal scaling. Spring Cloud SOFA Registry fully complies with the service publishing specifications defined by Spring Cloud. This lets you quickly integrate the registry using standard Spring Cloud annotations. Spring Cloud SOFA Registry also provides advanced features, such as graceful online and offline processes, nearest access, and weighted load balancing, to support enterprise-level microservices model requirements.
