Multi-cluster synchronization
SOFA Registry natively supports multi-cluster synchronization. This feature simplifies connecting registry clusters from multiple data centers.
After the clusters are connected, applications in each data center can subscribe to provider information from all data centers. If an application is also configured with location information, it automatically finds the optimal path using nearest access routing.
Application clients use ACVIP to locate registry servers. The information provided by ACVIP annotates the cluster location of each registry node. If an application is configured with location information, it also automatically achieves connection convergence. The application considers cross-data center connections only if the local data center has an insufficient number of active nodes.
