Why can't Alibaba Mail receive emails from a specific customer?

Hello,

If your Alibaba Mail account cannot receive emails from a specific customer, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check if the email was marked as spam or filtered into another folder by a rule.

  2. Check if the sender received a bounce email from Alibaba Mail. The bounce email explains the reason for the delivery failure.

  3. If the sender did not receive a bounce email, the email might not have reached the Alibaba Mail system. Verify that the recipient address is correct.

Can Alibaba Mail receive emails from international mailboxes?

Yes, Alibaba Mail can send and receive emails from international mailboxes.

Are there limits on the number and frequency of emails an Alibaba Mail account can send?

Yes, Alibaba Mail limits the number and frequency of emails that each account can send. For security reasons, the specific limits are confidential and cannot be disclosed. If you receive bounce emails or errors because you sent too many emails too quickly, reduce the sending frequency and volume before you try again. To send large volumes of commercial or promotional emails, use Alibaba Cloud Direct Mail. For more information, see What is Direct Mail?.

What should I do if my emails from Alibaba Mail are bounced?

If your emails sent from Alibaba Mail are frequently bounced, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Read the bounce email. It usually contains the specific reason for the delivery failure.

  2. Check your DNS settings. Make sure the MX record for your domain name is set correctly. Also, ensure that email authentication records such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are configured correctly.

  3. Check the recipient address. Confirm the address is correct and the mailbox is not disabled or full.

  4. Check the attachment size. Make sure the attachment does not exceed the size limit of the recipient's mailbox.

  5. Check the email body. Look for content or links that might be marked as spam.

  6. Check the sender address. Make sure your mailbox is not marked as a source of spam or included on a blacklist.
