Billing methods
EMAS App Monitor uses a hybrid billing model: unified billing for monitoring services and dedicated billing for log services.
Monitoring services (all features except Remote Log Access) are billed based on the number of monthly active devices. Log services (formerly Remote Log Access) are billed based on API requests and data upload traffic.

In this topic, an app is identified by its unique AppKey by default.
Billable item details
Monitoring services
The billable usage for monitoring services is the total number of monthly active unique devices for all applications under the service within a calendar month.
Services are billed to your Alibaba Cloud account. If a service has multiple applications, the usage for each application is calculated separately and then merged for billing at the account level.
If the same device launches multiple apps under the service within a calendar month, it is counted as a separate active device for each app. The usage cannot be deduplicated across apps.
For example, assume a service has three applications, and the number of monthly active unique devices for each application is: App1: 20,000 devices App2: 30,000 devices App3: 100,000 devices The total usage for monitoring services for the month is 150,000 devices.
Log services
Log services are primarily for Remote Log Access. The billable items are the number of API requests and the data upload traffic. Services are billed to your Alibaba Cloud account. If you have multiple applications, the usage for each application is calculated separately and then merged for billing at the account level.

Therefore, the total usage for log services for the month is 40 million API requests and 8,000 MB of data upload traffic.
Billing management
Billing: Usage is calculated daily, and charges are based on your daily resource consumption. To view usage statistics, go to the Billing Management page.
Bills: Bills are typically generated around 3:00 AM the next day. The actual generation time may vary. For more information about how to view your bills, see View bills.

App Monitor supports a free quota, pay-as-you-go billing, and subscription resource plans.

Free quota
Each account receives a certain amount of free quota every calendar month.
For monitoring services, you have a free monthly quota of 50,000 devices. If the number of unique monthly active devices exceeds 50,000 in a month, you are charged for the excess usage. For example, if your account uses 60,000 devices for monitoring services, the first 50,000 devices are covered by the free quota, and you are charged for the remaining 10,000 devices. The same logic applies to log services.
Pay-as-you-go
With the pay-as-you-go billing method, you are charged at a fixed rate based on your usage. For information about how total usage is calculated, see Billable item details.
For example, using the scenarios from the Billable item details section, the total monthly cost with the pay-as-you-go billing method would be:

Your monthly usage is first offset by the free quota for the month, and the remaining amount is billed. Therefore, the total cost for this month is CNY 1,000 + CNY 150 + CNY 144 = CNY 1,294.
Subscription resource plan
Purchase a resource plan in advance to receive a discounted price. Pricing is tiered based on usage. You can purchase multiple resource plans at the same time. They are consumed in the order they are purchased. To purchase a resource plan, see Purchase a resource plan.

For example, using the scenarios from the Billable item details section:
Monitoring services: The monthly usage is 150,000 monthly active devices. After the free quota of 50,000 devices is applied, the billable usage is 100,000 devices. If you purchase a resource plan for 100,000 devices, the monthly cost is CNY 990. This is cheaper than the pay-as-you-go cost of CNY 1,000.
Total cost: If you use a subscription resource plan for monitoring services and the pay-as-you-go method for log services, the total monthly cost for App Monitor is CNY 990 + CNY 150 + CNY 144 = CNY 1,284.
Resource plans are consumed based on daily usage. For example, if you have a resource plan for 100,000 devices and use 40,000 devices on the first day, you will have 60,000 devices remaining for the rest of the validity period.
Resource plans are valid for one year. The service is available immediately after you purchase a resource plan and remains active until the plan expires or is fully consumed.
Resource plans are not available for log services. Log services only support the pay-as-you-go billing method.
To view your resource plan usage, go to User Center > Resource Management > Resource Plan.
Offset order
Your usage is first offset by your free quota.
If you have purchased a resource plan, any usage that exceeds the free quota is offset by the resource plan.
If you have not purchased a resource plan, or if your resource plan is depleted, any usage that exceeds the free quota is automatically billed using the pay-as-you-go method.
If your account has an overdue payment, your service will be suspended. To ensure business continuity, check your account balance and add funds regularly.
Cancellation Instructions
Unsubscription is available only for subscription resource plans, not for pay-as-you-go resources.
To request a refund, submit a ticket for manual processing.
The system issues refunds based on the actual usage of the resource. For more information about the refund process, see Refund Flow.
Refunds apply only to payments made with cash or a stored value card. The value of any coupons or vouchers used for the purchase is not refundable.
