This document contains important product announcements for the Information Query Service (IQS).
Console upgrade: Effective 00:00:00 on April 21, 2026
The new IQS Information Query Service console is now available. It improves the activation and trial process and simplifies evaluating the capabilities and performance of IQS sub-products.
The legacy console for Information Query Service will be decommissioned on April 30, 2026. For tasks such as viewing metering and billing information and checking your activation status, please use the new IQS console.

Billing mode update: Effective 00:00:00 on May 9, 2025
Billing for existing users
The original flat-rate billing mode remains unchanged for existing users (test and official accounts) who enabled General Search for Information Query Service before 00:00:00 on May 9, 2025.
Existing users (test and official accounts) can request to switch to the new billing mode. To make the switch, contact your account manager or click Contact Us.
Existing users (test and official accounts) who switch to the new billing mode must upgrade to the Web Search (Document Search) API.
Billing for new users
New users (test and official accounts) who enable General Search for Information Query Service on or after 00:00:00 on May 9, 2025, will be billed under the new billing mode by default. For details about the new billing mode, see View bill details.
New users (test and official accounts) who enable General Search for Information Query Service must use the Web Search (Document Search) API.
