Building self-managed components, such as databases, message queues, and container clusters, underutilizes available cloud products and services. This practice can create security and stability risks and increase operational costs. For example, a self-managed database on the cloud requires manual deployment of a high availability (HA) architecture, backups, disaster recovery, and performance tuning. This can result in exposed vulnerabilities from outdated database versions and service interruptions from poor capacity planning.
Failing to keep up with Alibaba Cloud product updates means you will not learn about new features and services promptly.

Functional requirements: Do the cloud product's features meet business needs?

Migration feasibility: If migration is required, evaluate whether the product can integrate with existing systems seamlessly or at a low cost. Consider factors such as API compatibility and data migration tools.
SLA requirements: Does the cloud product's availability and performance meet the business's Service-Level Agreement (SLA)?
