After you configure a DingTalk robot to send alert notifications, you can receive alert notifications in the specified DingTalk group. This topic describes how to configure a DingTalk robot to send alert notifications.

Step 1: Create a notification group

  1. Log on to the Real-time Monitoring Service (RMS) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Manage Alert > Manage Notification Group.

  3. On the Manage Notification Group page, click Create Notification Group. In the panel that appears, set the following parameters and click Save.

    • Notification Group Name: required. Enter a notification group name.

    • DingTalk Robot: Enter the webhook URL of a custom DingTalk robot.

Step 2: Configure monitoring and alerting

  1. On the Custom Monitoring page, find a data source of the Common Service Metrics type and click Actions > Edit.

  2. In the Configure Alert Package section, create an alert package. Then, click Add Alert Rule.

  3. On the Custom Monitoring page, find a monitoring product and choose Actions > Subscribe to Alert.

  4. In the Subscribe to Alert dialog box, set the parameters as required.

    • New Subscriber: Select a subscriber from the drop-down list.

    • Alert Level: Select an alert level. This facilitates alert management. Valid values: All Subscriptions, P0, P1, P2, P3, and P4. In this example, select All Subscriptions.

    • Lower Notification Frequency: Specify whether to enable notification downgrade for the alert to be subscribed. If you select Enable from the drop-down list, the notification downgrade policy is enabled.

      Note

      The following notification downgrade policy is used:

      A notification is sent once every minute for 3 consecutive minutes, every 2 minutes for 4 consecutive minutes, every 5 minutes for 25 consecutive minutes, every 10 minutes for 50 consecutive minutes, every 30 minutes for 150 consecutive minutes, and then once every hour.

  5. After you set the parameters, click Add.

    The added subscriber is displayed in the list.

Verify the results

The DingTalk robot used to send alert notifications is configured. When an alert is triggered, you can receive an alert notification in the DingTalk group that you specified to receive alert notifications, as shown in the following figure.
