You can generate QR codes with parameters to analyze channel promotions and bind user accounts. This feature lets you create multiple QR codes with different scene values. When a user scans a QR code, your Official Account receives a push notification for the event.
Limits
The selected WeChat Official Account must have completed identity verification.
On the Configuration Management > Marketing Accounts page, you must complete the authorization for the WeChat Official Account.
An administrator must add members and assign them roles with permissions to view and manage WeChat QR codes.
Create an Official Account QR code
Select a workspace. In the reach marketing channel field, select WeChat Official Account. On the QR Codes page, click New QR Code in the upper-right corner.

To track customer source channels, the system lets you configure an independent channel source field for each QR code.

The QAID of users who scan the code and follow the account will be tagged with the corresponding tag value. After tagging, you can query it in real time in the Management Hub (User 360). Tag applications, such as audience selection using tags, depend on the task scheduling time.

Configure auto-reply content after scanning
1. Response
Yes - Reply after scanning
The reply is sent to both existing followers and users who have not yet followed the Official Account.
Existing followers: Receive the reply directly after scanning the code.
New users: Receive the reply after they scan the code and follow the account.
No - Do not reply after scanning
No automatic reply is sent after scanning. You do not need to configure reply content.
2. Content settings
You can reply with content in formats such as text, image, video, rich media, audio, miniapp, and link. You can add up to 3 content items. Each item supports only one format. If you add multiple items, you can drag and drop them to change the sending order.
Text
Text content supports inserting emoticons, Emoji, links, and miniapp links. Line breaks are supported.
The miniapp must be associated with the WeChat Official Account of the QR code and must be published.
Image
Select an image from the Material Hub: You can filter by "My Uploads" or search for images using keywords.
Upload an image from your local device: The image size cannot exceed 10 MB. Supported formats are PNG, JPEG, JPG, and GIF.
It supports static and dynamic graphs.
Videos
Select a video from the Material Hub: You can filter by "My Uploads" or search for videos using keywords.
Upload a video from your local device: The video size cannot exceed 10 MB. The supported format is MP4.
You must set a video title and description. This content is displayed to the user.
Rich media
Select rich media from the Material Hub or create a rich media template.
Sync with WeChat Drafts: You can retrieve all rich media templates from your WeChat Drafts in real time. This includes rich media materials created in Quick Audience and synced to the Official Account, along with existing rich media materials in the WeChat Drafts.
NoteUpload an image from your local device: The image size cannot exceed 10 MB. Supported formats are PNG, JPEG, JPG, and GIF.
It supports static and dynamic graphs.
Currently, only single-article rich media is supported.
Audio
Select audio from the Material Hub: You can filter by "My Uploads" or search for audio using keywords.
Upload an audio file from your local device: The size cannot exceed 2 MB, the playback duration cannot exceed 60 s, and the format must be MP3.
Miniapp
You must set the miniapp AppID, landing page, sharing description, and thumbnail. This content is displayed to the user.
The image size cannot exceed 2 MB. Supported formats are jpg and png. The recommended dimensions are 520 × 416 px.
Link
You must set the title, address, sharing description, and thumbnail. This content is displayed to the user.
The image size cannot exceed 2 MB. Supported formats are jpg and png. A 1:1 aspect ratio is recommended.
Verify the QR code
After you create the QR code, return to the QR code list page. Select the QR code and click QR Code in the Operation column to verify that the auto-reply is triggered when a user scans the code and follows the account.
Manage Official Account QR codes
Filter and search
Search: You can search by QR code name.
Filter: You can filter by Official Account and Status.
Copy and download
In the QR code pop-up window, click Copy URL or Download.
You can copy the URL to share the QR code. The display effect varies depending on the browser or client. For example:
Paste the URL into your browser. After you confirm, the download starts automatically. You can find the file in your recent downloads.
Copy the URL and open it in the app to access the download page. The file is saved locally as a static image.
You can embed or remove a logo and download the QR code in different sizes. Three sizes are available for different application scenarios.
Batch download is supported. On the QR code list page, select multiple QR codes and click Batch Download at the bottom of the list.
Export images: You can specify the resolution of the QR code images.
Upload Logo: You can add a logo icon for the current batch. The generated QR codes will include this logo.
Export links: The exported file includes the following fields: Official Account name, QR code type, QR code name, QR code ID, QR code URL, and time-to-live (TTL).
View the details page
Select the corresponding QR code and click Details in the Operation column. You can view the QR code configuration details, scan reply status, and key metric data.
1. Detailed data
Data is updated in real time. Refresh the page to view the latest data.
Scans: The total number of scans. This is a raw count and does not deduplicate users.
NoteFor users who are not followers, if they scan the code but do not follow the account, the scan event is not recorded.
Total Scanners: The total number of unique users who scanned the code. This includes existing followers and new users who followed the account after scanning.
New Followers from Scans: The number of unique users who followed the Official Account for the first time after scanning the code. This is the number of new, deduplicated followers.
Replies Sent: The total number of times the welcome message was successfully sent after a user scanned the code and followed the Official Account.
Replies Received: The number of unique users who received the welcome message.
2. Scanned user details
You can search by OpenID and sort the results by scan time in ascending or descending order.
Click an OpenID to go to User 360. If the user is a new follower, User 360 retrieves the user information on the next business day (T+1).
3. Export details
Click Download to export the current filtered results.
Exporting the current filtered results takes about 1 to 5 minutes. Do not close the page during the export.
You can export up to 2 million records at a time. If the number exceeds 100,000, the records are split into multiple files.
The exported file includes the following fields: OpenID, follower tags, scan time, and reply status.
4. Create an audience
The created audience information is sent to the User Insights module for filtering and management. After an audience is created, information about new users who scan the code and follow the account is not automatically updated in the existing audience.
Group Filter:
NoteIn Configuration Management > Event Hub, a new "Reply after Official Account QR code scan" event is added. This lets you select an audience based on the event of sending a reply message after a QR code scan.

Edit QR code
You can edit the QR code name, user tag settings, and the auto-reply message.
Copy a QR code
You can copy the configuration of any Official Account QR code that is not in a "Creation Failed" state. The system duplicates the configuration and automatically opens the page to create a new QR code. The default name for the new QR code is the original name with the "_copy" suffix. The new QR code also inherits all settings from the original, including tags, auto-reply content, and time-to-live (TTL).
Delete a QR code
After you delete a QR code from the list, it can still be scanned to follow your account due to WeChat limitations. However, its original configurations, such as source channel, tags, and auto-replies, will no longer work.
To perform a batch deletion, select the QR codes that you want to delete and click Batch Delete at the bottom of the list.
