Dear User,

Effective June 30, 2025, China Unicom will implement new SMS control measures. These include blocking promotional content—such as links and contact information—and requiring all SMS templates to be registered before sending. After this date, unregistered templates or templates containing promotional content may be blocked.

Quick Audience has begun reviewing your SMS templates and will submit your recently used templates for registration, as required by the carriers. Please note the following important points. On May 20, China Telecom began blocking messages that contain links, contact information, or IP addresses. China Unicom will also increase its blocking of templates containing promotional content. To reduce the risk of message blocking, avoid including promotional content—such as links or contact information—in your text messages.

Due to carrier system limitations and policy changes, the platform cannot retrieve template registration results from the carriers. During implementation of these policies, if an SMS template fails a carrier’s review, it may be blocked. This may affect text messages sent to China Unicom and China Telecom numbers.

We will continue monitoring these policies. Please prepare your business response measures in advance.
