Cloud usage guidelines
Alibaba Finance Cloud is designed for customers in the finance industry. To ensure compliance and security, its usage differs from that of the public cloud. Please read this document carefully before you start using Finance Cloud.
Available regions
Finance Cloud is deployed in clusters within independent data centers. Additional regions will be made available based on customer demand. The following regions are currently available: China (Hangzhou) Finance, China (Shenzhen) Finance, China (Shanghai) Finance, and China (Beijing) Finance (invitational preview).
Account usage
Once your account is verified for Finance Cloud, it can no longer be used to access public cloud resources. If your account has existing public cloud resources, you must release them before verification. To simplify management, we recommend that you apply for a dedicated account for Finance Cloud.
Cloud resources are isolated at the account level. You can use this account-level isolation to separate different environments. We recommend that you apply for a separate Alibaba Cloud account for each environment, such as production, pre-production, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and development or integration testing. The same entity can provide verification for multiple accounts.
Resource Access Management (RAM) is now available. RAM lets you use primary and sub-accounts to implement fine-grained access control for cloud resources. RAM does not currently support cross-account authorization. For more information, see the RAM product page.
