Apply for identity verification
Identity verification determines the ownership of an Alibaba Cloud account. If an account belongs to an enterprise, you must complete enterprise identity verification. Completing individual identity verification for an enterprise account can cause issues, such as disputes during personnel changes or disagreements over account assets. This may result in financial losses and affect your ability to withdraw funds or obtain invoices.
For Finance Cloud scenarios, you must complete enterprise identity verification for your account.
Procedure
This procedure describes how to apply for enterprise identity verification.
- Log in to the Alibaba Cloud website using your account and password.
- Click your account name to open the Alibaba Cloud Account Management page: https://account.console.aliyun.com .
- In the navigation pane on the left, click the Identity Verification tab, and then click Enterprise/Government Identity Verification.
- Select a verification method and click Verify Now.Note
- Enterprise Bank Card Information Verification method takes two to three business days for review. Other methods provide instant verification.
- If you select Enterprise Bank Card Information Verification, you must provide your company's corporate bank account information. Alibaba Cloud makes a small deposit to this account. To complete the verification, you must enter the deposit amount in the next step.
- On the page that appears, follow the prompts to enter your enterprise information and complete the verification.
FAQ
Q: What happens if I do not complete identity verification?
A: You cannot activate pay-as-you-go resources without completing identity verification. However, you can still purchase subscription resources, such as ECS and RDS. This means you can purchase subscription ECS instances and deploy applications while your identity verification is in progress.
Q: The deposit from Alibaba Cloud failed to post to my account. Can I get a refund?
A: Yes, you can.
Q: How long does enterprise information verification take?
A: After Alibaba Cloud receives your verification request, the deposit process starts immediately. However, it may take two to three business days for you to receive the deposit due to bank transfer times.
Q: What should I do if I cannot complete the identity verification online?
A: You can contact an Alibaba Finance Cloud staff member for assistance. You will need to provide your enterprise name and business license registration number so that we can help you complete the identity verification.
Q: Can I use my personal identity for verification?
A: Enterprise customers must complete enterprise identity verification. Otherwise, you may experience unnecessary issues with your services later.
